Cold is no Gold

The work was created for the Central Textile Museum for the exhibition W kratkę/In Check, which was devoted to shawls worn by seamstresses in Łódź.

The artist wrote a poem using the technique of hand embroidery on fabric, and based on this poem, an animated film was created. Monika Drożyńska traced the names of various types of scarves worn as part of a woman’s outfit, made of different materials, and used in different cultures and parts of the world to cover the head, shoulders, and back.
