Palimpsest

A series of fabrics embroidered with words, which are then covered with more words.

Similarly to the Black on White series, I embroider the entire fabric very densely, and then add further layers of words. In the process, the embroidered text becomes unreadable, and the fabric attains thickness and plasticity.
