I'm dreaming of a revolution

I'm dreaming of a revolution

In the book "An overdreamt revolution" Andrzej Leder points out that building every symbolic imaginarium

We create a "better" world and we recreate the inequality e fight against.

Leder quotes Mao saying: "Humanity, which governs itself does not have to come back to capitalism, (...) but it restores

inequality.

We can't allow for the old order to come back so the revolutionist advocates the annihilation of the symbolic space,

turning everything around leading to terror.

In Western culture, the idea of governance as a vertical structure that inevitably and "naturally"

Is established according to the hierarchy and authority seems to strongly correlate with the patriarchy and such a

method of thinking is supported by the Christian vision, establishing law and morality

of the male Supreme Being. E revolution, conscious or not reproduces the structure of power that seeps in new themes.

Monika Drożyńska's creativity is waiting for a post secular analysis. It's clear that her

"Permanent revolution" the artist dreams of is close to Buddhist philosophy. Its purpose is also

the annihilation of the symbolic space (What divides us is simply an illusion, everything common

is real and joyful as well as non-personal) instead of terror, she proposes the philosophy of emptiness, and for

action - meditation.

The political nature of the Drożyńska's activities serve equality and they are met at ground zero, where fashion,

hierarchies and statuses should hold no power. Monica's dream revolution

is joyful, full of happiness and, as she puts it, is the result of political actions (that should be carried out in both, the

private and the social world).

The dream of social change is a dream of a bloodless revolution.

The idea of absolute art is replaced by casual art that blurs the common day, hazing away the boundary

Of an average day and a holiday, and the line between a social gathering and a workshop. Drożyńska looms in her family

into her activities in a natural manner, however her interventions in social areas, serve not only to raise awareness of

problems and excluding inequality but they also serve as a form of concrete action o change the current situation.

Embroidery, the art of engaging oneself in social things serve the artist to create a micro-utopia. A world

in which the politically conscious human generates questions about acting in the sphere of everyday life

and utilizing simple gestures and actions to change reality. Drożyńska's art is an example of the effectiveness of it's use

as a tool in many social areas and the belief that a revolution can be done outside the political mammoth on the level of

an individual imagination (as well as through absurd, humor and games)
